The Medical Letter CME Program - The Medical Letter
The purpose of The Medical Letter Continuing Medical Education Program is to provide a means for health care professionals (primarily physicians and pharmacists) to keep up to date with new drugs that are approved by the FDA, as well as keep up with the standard of care treatments for specific indications.  Specifically, the content of The Medical Letter Continuing Medical Education Program covers the mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, clinical trials, adverse effects, interactions, dosages and routes of administration of the drugs discussed.  Participants are required to answer exam questions based on the content of The Medical Letter.  Importantly, the objectives of developing the content on which the exam is based are to educate the participant, impact clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.  The Medical Letter's unbiased content is free of commercial influence and financial sponsorship.  The Medical Letter does not accept advertising, grants or donations.  The program is completely funded by fees paid by the exam participants. NOTE: Credits earned on any individual exam can not be earned again on the comprehensive exam if it covers the same material. 26 credits are the maximum you can earn in any given year.
