The
Medical Letter has developed a database of adverse drug interactions,
which is the source for our desktop
computer, online and PDA/handheld software.
The data files contain over 2000 pairs of interacting drugs. Each
listing contains one or more adverse effects with a mechanism of
action. Following the adverse effects are pertinent reference citations
documenting the effect, followed by comments and recommendations.
The database contains an index of over 3,000 brand names. The interactions
and index are approximately 1.2MB in size before compression. For
information about our Adverse Drug Interactions database, read frequently
asked questions.
The
Medical Letter offers this data for licensing by software developers
or as a data source for those who would like to supplement current
databases with drug interaction information.
